Early Years Of Parenting
With over 10 years experience as a trauma therapist, my practice is strongly committed to you and your needs for support and healing. I am especially passionate about working with folks in the perinatal period, which includes pregnancy, post-partum, and the early years of parenting. I have both clinical training and lived experience in navigating the perinatal period, and genuinely grasp the challenges of this time where folks are often bombarded with information and advice from the internet, social media, health and social systems, family members, and friends; much of which can feel more overwhelming than helpful.
I also have extensive expertise in working with trauma, with a specialized focus on attachment trauma, sexualized violence, gender-based violence, familial trauma, generational trauma, and the long-term impacts of oppression and marginalization. I pull from a mix of therapeutic approaches, which are relational and person-centered at their core including EMDR, Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems, CBT, mindfulness-based practices, and more.
I am committed to building therapeutic relationships centered on compassion, care, and collaboration. I am warm, non-judgemental, safe, and inviting. I am a strong feminist, queer ally, affirming of neurodiversity, and anti-oppressive practitioner who is always open to meaningful conversation and feedback from my clients.
