Brittany founded Moncton Counselling and Wellness in 2021 with a clear sense of what she wanted therapy to feel like in her community. After nine years working in social work and spending time in settings that often felt rushed, clinical, or disconnected, she imagined a space that felt softer and more human. A place where people could settle in, breathe for a moment, and feel like their voice had room to exist. She believed Moncton needed a counselling space built with intention, where comfort, clarity, and compassion guided the experience from the moment someone walked in.

Brittany’s Background
After opening Moncton Counselling and Wellness in 2021, Brittany quickly saw how deeply the community connected with the kind of therapeutic environment she had envisioned. The clinic grew steadily as more people reached out for support and as more therapists joined the team. With that growth came a commitment to making therapy accessible to as many people as possible.
In early 2022, during the strain of the pandemic, she created a lower fee counselling program to support individuals who needed more affordable care. This initiative became an ongoing part of the clinic’s identity and reflected her dedication to reducing barriers to mental health support.
In 2025, with a strong foundation built in Moncton, Brittany opened Halifax Counselling and Wellness to extend this same supportive environment to another community. Her work across the mental health landscape in Atlantic Canada has been recognized through awards such as the Chamber of Moncton’s Top 20 Under 40 (2024) and Atlantic Business Magazine’s Top 20 Under 30 (2023).
Her Approach
Brittany believes therapy should feel real and human. She values honesty, a genuine presence, and meaningful connection, and her approach reflects that. She sees therapy as a space where people should be able to show up exactly as they are, without pressure, without performance, and without feeling judged.
Even in her role as founder, she stays closely connected to the heart of therapeutic work. She pays careful attention to the atmosphere of her clinics, the experience clients have from the moment they reach out, to their first session, and beyond. She believes a thoughtful environment sets the tone for genuine healing.
What Matters To Her
For Brittany, the most important part of her work is creating spaces where people feel understood and supported. She cares deeply about the moments when someone finally feels comfortable enough to open up, and the sense of relief that follows being truly heard. She believes everyone deserves a place that feels safe to explore their emotions, their history, and the things they carry.
